I have combined the topics of strategy and branding as they are the marketing starting points. Without a coherent brand and a structured plan, marketing can be an enormous waste of time and money.

Bill Wallsgrove (Brandad), argues that branding should always come before marketing. He says, “Branding is about defining who you are before you even think about marketing. Marketing is how you take it to the world.”

And as for strategy, one of the greatest quotes is believed to originate about 500 years before the birth of Jesus Christ. Sun Tzu, the author of the ‘The Art of War’ wrote:

“Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory. Tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat.”
